"You should endeavor to know everything you can about God, his character, and his plan for the world and the people he has placed in it. Yet you cannot allow the analytical power of your mind to be the source of your hope, confidence, and continuance. You will not always understand; in truth, there are few if any things about this infinitely complex creation that we finite creatures truly understand... We think we would find it much easier to obey if we grasped all the details about why we are being asked to do one thing or another. But this desire to understand is simply another form of the desire to control."
Paul Tripp, Broken Down House, pg. 58
