Our world, so often, gives unrealistic perspectives on what life here ought to be like. One only needs to watch the television adverts as Christmas approaches to understand this! I love the accurate a picture of the life in this world that the Bible faces. The Bible doesn't pretend that everything is ok or that it should be. Unlike "reality" tv, the Bible is the real "reality." We live in a broken world, into which God has decisively acted through Christ. This world will one-day we fully and finally re-made. The Bible's honesty is a clear sign of God's love.
