I stumbled across this quote from Andrew Fuller - a late 18th century English Baptist pastor. It's a delightful thought as we reflect on God's grace in Christ and prepare for a new year.
"What a wonder I am to myself! Compared with what I deserve to be, how happy! Compared with what I desire to be, how miserable!"
Christians do not get what we deserve (by the grace of God alone!), but we should not be satisfied with where we are.
